We are still short funds for this years giving program. Please consider donating in order to assist us in helping the kids get on those bikes and ride!
So what are our plans this year for raising the money we need? And how can you help?
Ah, I have a wonderful answer for that!
This year TurningWheels for Kids has decided to really work for their money.
TWFK has drafted an amazing team of 15+ cyclists from Sacramento to Santa Barbara who are currently preparing to ride 129 miles over 5 mountain passes and climb 15,000 feet to accomplish the daunting task referred to as the Death Ride! And we are still looking for more volunteers to join Team TurningWheels For Kids!
Are you game? Can you handle the challenge? Take a look at who is riding with us.
2008 was an amazing year ~ all goals met! The Big Bike Build was a victory and 2,000 children were gifted bikes because of your effort and your support!
But it is no longer 2008! 2009 is upon us and our plans and dreams are in motion. Even with a sour economy, we still must provide 2,000 bikes for 2,000 kids. In fact, the need is far greater than in the past. If I had my way, we’d do 3,500 bikes!
Our challenges are many in 2009. But I will not be daunted by the unseen, the scary, the doom and gloom and neither will you ~ I have learned who you are! I dream of the possibilities for us ~ TurningWheels For Kids. It is our charity ~ not some corporate charity but ours – yours and mine. And we will decide the outcome for the kids and the parents that we serve and they will be able to count on us!

Okay, stay tuned. More info is coming all the time and watch the blog page. Make a comment. Add your two cents.
Thanks to all of you ~ every one of you who has stepped up to help TurningWheels For Kids. You are all part of the team! Contact us and be a part of the Death Ride Team or if you don’t have the time for that, support our riders right here. Find the rider that amuses or inspires you and throw your support to them. Each rider is looking and hoping for donors because they are actually even competing on that level – whoever gets the most donors gets the PRIZE ~ whatever that is! Be sure to pay close attention to Sue’s profile. She needs your help the most!
Thank you for your very generous fundraising efforts on behalf of TurningWheels For Kids and the children of the Bay Area. Many children will have bikes because you took the time to make a difference!
