Seasons greetings from TurningWheels for Kids, this year we are hosting our annual bike build at San Jose Convention Center’s South Hall on December 12^rd 2008.

We are accepting individuals and family's as well as corporate and team volunteers again this year.

We at TurningWheels For Kids want to thank you for your willingness to help us put together 2,000 bikes in a few short hours. This is a Santa’s workshop for sure in the purest and most magical way. And all children deserve to have a merry holiday ~ right? So thank you for helping us to put smiles and giggles in the hearts of local children by providing the number one requested gift item by these same children we serve.

I would like to share with each of you this years struggle and ask you to help just a little more. Without boring you with details, for the first time TurningWheels For Kids has hit a bump along the trail. Bikes have cost substantially more this year ~ as much as 40% more for some styles. To ensure that we could still serve 2,000 local children, we have dipped into our future dollars! Please reach in your own pocket and help us replenish the coffers. They are sadly low at this time and next year is in jeopardy! Imagine if each of the 600 people at the bike build made a $25 dollar donation. Right there we could raise $15,000 dollars.

Team captains ~ talk to your groups and see if they can pull together a donation. We will have a big jug on stage this year. Lets fill it up with bikes ~ well, money for bikes!
