The great people at Therma not only hired me but introduced me to TurningWheels for Kids. Wow, what an incredible idea and giving group of people. I have attended the last two Bike Builds and I cannot remember such an exciting and rewarding experience. The laughing kids pedaling their new bikes take my breath away every year!
I have always loved riding bikes and commuted a fair amount on an old mountain bike. I bought my first rode bike just before my first child was born because I was afraid if I didn’t then, I might not ever. That was almost 4 years and 7,000 miles ago. Cycling not only makes me feel great physically but all that time to think really makes me mentally stable as well. Besides, we are blessed to have fantastic wooded roads accessible right from home and cycling is the perfect pace for taking it all in realizing how fortunate we truly are.
This will be my second Death Ride. My first was really to test my own mental toughness, physical stamina and to see if I could beat the time limit (I did by a little). This year I will ride with the purpose of sharing with my friends the greatness of TurningWheels for Kids. I’ll bring along all my friends in my head as well as the smiling kids, so happy to have a new bike for Chistmas! Fantastic..
