This will be my first Death Ride experience. I have been riding bicycles for about two years now. I did my first Century one year ago and have not been happy with short rides every since. I keep pushing myself to do more and reach for higher goals. The Death Ride? Why not! I do love a challenge. I also love to do rides for charity. I have heard about Turning Wheels For Kids and what they accomplish and thought what a great way to give to the community. Can you remember seeing that bike in front of the Christmas tree? Do you remember how special that day was? Your first ride on your new bike, out side for everyone to see!
I am so blessed to be able to ride for such a great organization. Now my training and dedication is taking on a more serious tone. Now I am motivated not just for myself to accept and defeat a personal challenge but to work hard for under privileged children right here in the Bay Area. I am looking forward to working with this team of volunteers as I work to raise money for Turning Wheels For Kids and train for the hardest ride of my life.
I ask first for your prayers for these children and for our group to safely finish this ride, and yes, we do need your financial help.
