Leah’s the leader of this strange, crazy team,
She’s fast and she’s smart and really, really lean.
Jeff’s right behind her all the way to the top,
An athlete extraordinaire, he never did stop.
Don’t forget Brennan a young studly buck,
He didn’t even train, to the top . . . was it luck?
And Dave says he’s fat, old and broken down,
To the top all the way, I guess you know he’s a clown!

They all made it look easy, I said, “I can do that”,
I bought me a bike and thought, now, I’m a cool cat.
This riding up hills should be easy enough,
If they can all do it, it can’t be that tough.

I started to ride, hmmm, this doesn’t feel right,
And wearing this spandex, oh sheesh, I’m a sight!
The shoes that they wear, like stuck in a brick,
I fell, hit my head, oh jeez, this makes me sick.
I pant and I struggle, each hill such a chore,
Why did I say I would do this, don’t want to anymore.
But I hear it again, that voice from within,
You pick the goal, go for it, win!

So one pass or two, maybe even three,
I think that’s enough, that’s plenty for me.
But fun it will be to push to my edge,
Just hope I don’t fall off that mountainess ledge : ))
